Testing Your WordPress Theme

Custom theme is an important part of Wordpress development process before you get on site ready to push live to a client or just live to the world it's important to take the time to do some extra testing to make sure you got everything the first step is to click through and make sure that all of the pages and all of the links work in the Bronx section you want to test things like your comments are working search feelings if you have them there was any other interactive applicable contract have someone take a look at the titles for the pages what is the example that when you coming to our about page of displays about that doesn't show the actual name of the site itself as part of our testing process it's coming and open up are headed out. People and we can help you fix this what we have currently is the wp title function this point however the wp type of function does not display the name of the blonde on the home page or does it display anything on the homepage of the site so what we have to do is add an extra function from back of that case and that will add is the blog info tag with the parameter Ali and now you should see the my portfolio and about listing however this character showing off to the wrong side here so what we're going to do is add a few more parameters to the wp title the first being what character they want to separate it and then nobody wanted to Echo and then weather to display to the right or to the left so now we can see about my portfolio my portfolio this is great we can even add in conditional statement that said if it is the front page on alcohol even more however if you use an SEO plugin they usually give you a way to display a nice custom message on both you and those the contact prescription for each page so that's one thing just to go through the site itself and click and make sure that everything is working the next time you want to do is test out your site with debug mode on and this may be helpful during the actual development process to me but if you come in the main WordPress install can open up your wp-config file you could scroll down until you get to wpg but it's turning song the truth and see what happens if we turn this on the tree and then coming to would say our page. PHP template instead of a semicolon we purchased a colon after the title and then if we go to hear you on that page you should see what this error message displays here telling us what time is on however if we come back into a WP config file and you change this back to false which it is by default when I refresh the page it just goes blank so this is something you don't want turned on in the production environment
