The page php File in wordPress Theme

Pages like me about paid your contact page look like on your WordPress site over the next couple videos will look at how to set up the page. PHP template and then look at how to setup a custom page templates for when that page. PHP template won't work for all of your static pages although we have an index. PHP file we've seen on the site currently with their static home page what we want to do now is create a page. PHP template which will work specifically for working with static pages and not necessarily home page or other pages that the index. PHP may serve what we're going to do that was taker index. PHP and do a file save as page. PHP week and then update are no post found message and if you haven't seen this wrapped up before but this allows you to do was work with language files to be able to automatically translate this statement into a different language that your team could support so when we update this what we need to do now is coming to work for us and look at our pages that exist we could delete our sample page and we're going to add a new page called portfolio add a new page called about and then a contact us page your guess is as if its individual we can also see that we have permalinks being the initial page ID so I'll go ahead and update these although it's not necessarily important for the team itself but now that we have these Pages we're going to click to view them from the admin area and the reason is not working yet on our site but if we click in this way we could see okay. Here's the information and if we were to make an update for example we should see that reflected on the main site save this page. PHP template is going to work for all pages and if we were to come back and look at different pages and would see that they're all using the same template however it is possible to create custom page templates so that you could have a range of options for displaying pages in different ways what would do in the template so that we could add something like a sidebar option for Pages if we didn't want to have a phone with you like this page
